Apple iPhone 5 release date set for next year 2012?
The iPhone 4S was not quite what we expected from the Apple event to launch fall, but the word on the information superhighway is that it was not all that Apple had intended to launch either.
Apparently, the company has a major upgrade in the works - a combined re-designed to meet the cavalcade of leaks that came out in the weeks before the launch of the iPhone 4S that do not Siri-toting handset : the legendary iPhone 5.

Ashok Kumar, an analyst at Rodman & Renshaw, said the iPhone mysteriously absent 5 was designed to be the star high in the event the iPhone, and he cites as "the last project that Steve Jobs has been intimately involved in concept to final design. "

An anonymous source told CNET, "This is a very important project that Steve has spent all his time. He was not involved in the 4S, because his time was limited."

So Apple iPhone 4S wheels on instead, and keep the iPhone 5 back until summer 2012.

So is the iPhone 5 launch in the summer of 2012? We're not entirely convinced, but we can see that happening.
