Sony Ericsson Walkman portfolio has expanded its Smartphone range with the launch of the Sony Ericsson W8. The Smartphone runs on Google Android 2.1 Eclair.

Similar in looks X8 Xperia, Sony Ericsson W8 sports a 3-inch capacitive touch screen HVGA. It has a 600 MHz ARM processor with an 11 Adreno 200 GPU, part of the Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset coupled with only 168MB of RAM.

W8 has a music player focused on Android, TrackID music recognition and Play Now technologies. The Smartphone’s camera is 3.2 megapixel camera with geo-tagging. Built-in is 128 MB of storage and is expandable up to 16GB with a microSD card. The W8 comes in three colors - blue, metallic red, orange and iconic.

Sony Ericsson W8 is a decent Smartphone that Android OS, Version 2.1 (Flash) and 600 MHz ARM 11 processor, 200 Adreno GPU, CPU Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset to support both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100).
